Hi friends,
You might have heard about some sort of identity crisis. But no worries, it's just the Great (American?) Band Swap, and you can read about it right here in this weeks' Indy:
http://www.indyweek.com/gyrobase/Content?oid=oid%3A164705Band Swap 12/1We hope to see you this Saturday night at the Duke Coffeehouse, where we'll be playing not BB, but eberhardt, Midtown Dickens, Future Kings of Nowhere, Wigg Report, and Megafaun songs. And thus will they play the other bands' songs. Rumor has it that some creature by the name of Man Blossom will be performing as well.
Lips are tightly sealed with elmer's glue so no one knows who is playing what, except of course one tipsy member of a certain band who saw BB's other-band-words all typed out on Thanksgiving. Oops.
Tune in to WKNC to hear more about it, if you want...Friday night @ 7 pm Eastern.
12/8 showness: BCHQ Here BB plays for real, but really, that's not the highlight. I want you to come out to see three other bands, all of them who promise to make this an amazing show:
Ponchos for Peru - Right out of Wilmington, this trio would be the stork-children of Midtown Dickens and Bombadil. They have a horns, and loosey-nice songs.

Elevado - up from Atlanta, these crazy kids tour in a big old bus full of grease-oil. Wonderfully moody dance-style middle-vocal combination. They help run the sister to BCHQ in Atlanta, ISP. So come support em.
http://www.elevado.com/and now...(drumroll, sort of off-beat)
The debut of Dave Z's new project will be performing - All Your Science. No Myspace site yet. You'll just have to take my word for it that this duo will be awesome. Dave will be using his backpack drumset (the bikeable drum kit). I saw him play it once. I had no idea. He sounded like art blakey. Really.
Documentary premiere 1/6/08 @ 7 pmThis is a non-BB, but since I'm 1/2 BB, and I've been working on this the past few years, I send it to you:
Seeing through the Fence premiere @ Manbites Dog Theater!
A $5 donation will also get you vegan foodstuffs, sweet and savories...there is limited seating, so to reserve a seat, please email me here or go to
www.porchlifeproductions.com
and email me through the site. A preview trailer is there as well, checkm' out... The doc also features several local Durham bands.
I'm pretty excited about this, so I hope to see ya there.
If you think this whole email took awhile to read, what about the poor writer? I'm off to bed.
