The Anglo-Belarusian Society invites its members and friends of the Belarusian community in Britain to the traditional Kaliady (Christmas) celebration on Saturday, 15 December 2012 at 2pm at St Cyril’s Belarusian Religious and Cultural Centre.

Paval Šaǔcoǔ and Saša Biełavokaja will present the traditional, well-loved Batlejka (Belarusian Christmas puppet show).

Saint Nicholas will be giving out presents, so please, if you are coming with children, make sure to have a present prepared for each child and hand it over to Paval before the performance.

It will also be an occasion to sing Belarusian and English carols.

A collection will be made towards the rental of the venue and refreshments (suggested donation £5 for a member of ABS, £7 for a non-member, children go free).

All offers of traditional seasonal food and drink – both Belarusian and English – will be gratefully received.

Please note that the venue is Marian House (Holden Avenue, London N12 8HY), on the corner of Holden Avenue and Holden Road (across the road from 39 Holden Rd). Nearest tube station: Woodside Park (Northern Line). See the map.
