NFD Announces Contestants in the 4th Annual Holiday Cheer Contest
Public encouraged to vote for their favorite fire station on Facebook.
NASHVILLE, TN. (December 17, 2024) -- The Nashville Fire Department (NFD) is excited to announce the contestants in the highly anticipated 4th Annual Holiday Cheer Contest. This festive tradition brings together the dedicated personnel of each NFD fire station as they compete for the title of "Best Decorated Fire Station" in Metro Nashville Davidson County.
Each participating fire station has decked out its station in dazzling holiday decorations, and the public is invited to vote for their favorite display. The station with the most Facebook "Likes" on their official holiday photo by Christmas morning will be crowned the winner and earn bragging rights for the year!
How It Works:
The public is encouraged to visit the NFD’s official
Facebook page, where photos of each fire station’s holiday decorations will be posted. To vote, simply "Like" the photo of the station you believe has the most festive and creative decorations. Only "Likes" will count as votes—comments,
loves, and shares do not contribute to the vote count. So, spread the word, like your favorites, and help your station win!
"This event is a fun and meaningful way to showcase the pride our firefighters have in the neighborhoods they serve," said Chief William Swann. "Our personnel work around the clock, often missing family holidays, but this contest allows them to bring some joy to their communities while celebrating the season. It's a great way to connect with the public and share a little holiday cheer."
The contest is an exciting way to spotlight the spirit of the holidays and the hardworking men and women who dedicate themselves to the safety and well-being of Nashville. It also serves as a reminder of the selfless service of the NFD personnel, who continue to work tirelessly for their communities, even during the holiday season.
Voting Period:
Voting is now open and will close at 11:59 PM on Christmas Eve, December 24th. The winner will be announced on Christmas morning, December 25th, and will receive a trophy and the title of "NFD Holiday Cheer Champion."
The NFD encourages the public to participate by voting, sharing photos, and spreading holiday cheer on social media using the hashtag #NFDHolidayCheer. NFD Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NashvilleFireDepartment/
