To reset the drive for faults indicated by a red LED on display (on, not flashing), check fault code if fault is programmable then check parameter and reset fault, correct the problem and do one of the following: From the control panel, press RESET Turn off the power for 5 minutes.

Identify the Fault: The first step is to determine what the fault is. AC drives often have built-in diagnostics that display error codes or messages. Check the display or control panel for any indication of a fault.

Consult the Manual: Hitachi AC drives come with a user manual that includes troubleshooting guides. Refer to the manual for specific error codes and their meanings. It may also provide steps to resolve common faults.

Reset the Drive: Sometimes, simply power cycling the AC drive can clear minor faults. Turn off the drive, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Be sure to follow proper shutdown procedures to avoid damaging the drive or connected equipment.

Perform Diagnostic Tests: Many AC drives have built-in diagnostic functions that can help pinpoint the source of a fault. Run diagnostic tests as recommended in the user manual to identify any issues.

Check User Manual: Refer to the user manual or technical documentation provided by ABB for your specific ACS310 drive model. Ensure that you are following the correct procedure for performing a factory reset. Different drives may have slightly different methods for initiating a reset.

Verify Access Level: Some parameters, including the factory reset parameter, may require a certain access level to modify. Ensure that you have the necessary access level or password to modify this parameter. Refer to the manual for details on access levels and passwords.

Use Default Settings: If the factory reset parameter is not working, you can try manually resetting the drive to its default settings. This typically involves setting each parameter back to its default value individually. Refer to the manual for a list of default parameter values.

Power Cycle: After attempting to perform a factory reset, try power cycling the drive by turning it off and then back on again. Sometimes, a power cycle can help reset the drive to its default settings.
