The Career reward object is the Execuputter. It is unlocked when a Sim reaches Executive (career level 5), and raises Fun and Charisma. If The Sims 2: Apartment Life is installed, Techs and Socialites are likely to be employed in this career. College majors associated with this career are Economics and Psychology. When using SimPE to change a Sim's career, the Business career will be labeled as Economy.
Keep the copier and coffee machine in working order. Be organized, prompt, and friendly when you push that cart through the halls - maybe some sharp-eyed company officer will consider you for a kick upstairs.
Business is one of the basic career tracks in The Sims 3. It's the only career track that doesn't require any skills for promotion. Sims can be employed from newspaper, computer, or office building. Because skills no longer contribute the performance factor to Business career, attending work and building relationships with boss and coworkers are more important. Schmoozer trait will be suitable for Sims who work in Business. Sims must hold meetings many times as a performance factor in this career track.
Sims can pull prank with their coworkers and boss inside the office building as long as the target is working inside. A successful prank will give a relationship boost to the target, and if the target is the boss, the career performance will also increase. On the other hand, a failed prank will give a relationship drop to the target, and if the target is the boss, the career performance will decrease.
Employees revere you and competitors find you terrifying. Entire corporate empires rise and fall at your whim, spelling doom for the wrong players, and financial glory for you and the companies you dominate. The days of the Power Broker entail long meetings and counting the stacks of Simoleons. The hard work has paid off, big time.
Perk: Ability to hold meetings at various rabbit holes.
The Business career is one of the career tracks from The Sims 4 base game. This career track was not included in the original release of The Sims 4, but was reintroduced in patch 9. After being promoted from level six, Sims will be able to choose one of the two career paths: Management or Investor.
In The Sims 4, the Business career is one of the more lucrative career options in the base game. While you start your career in the mailroom, you'll have the opportunity to sharpen two critical skills and compound on that effort to earn your promotions.
With both Charisma and Logic required, it's helpful to be both Outgoing and a Genius to help with raising both of these skills. Geniuses pick up Logic faster, while Charisma comes more naturally to the outgoing.
In The Sims 4, for family oriented players who want to spend maximum time with their family, the business career proves to be an ideal option. This is mainly due to the fact that Sims with this career get weekends to enjoy with their loved ones.
The business career in The Sims 4 is tedious and challenging to start as report filling becomes a daily task for lackluster rewards. This guide will lead players through the intricacies of the business career in The Sims 4 and how to flourish in it.Related: The Sims 4: How To Get Inspired
Daily tasks in the management branch include making business calls, and the result of these calls will impact the moodlets of the Sims. However, players must remember that promotion in this branch demands more hard work and rewards offered are fewer than the investor branch.

The Sims 4 Business Career features both Management and Investor Branches. Both of these may offer you opportunities that could, at random, make your Sim some extra money based on what you select and some random variation. The Career relies heavily on the Charisma and Logic Skills, no matter which branch you take. While it starts with an Ideal Mood of Energized, it shifts to Confident at Regional Manager (level 5) while the Career offers you to select a branch upon reaching level 7. Since Emotional buffs are fairly easy to get, you don't need any special traits to pursue either of these Careers. However, Outgoing and a Popularity Aspiration (to give the Gregarious Bonus Trait) may be helpful to leveling Charisma and making Friends. While Friends are not necessary, it's just a perk to be able to have your social interactions succeed more often and perhaps level Charisma faster.
The starting Daily Task, Fill out Reports, can be found on the Computer under the Web menu. Filling out Reports may sometimes give your Sim a Bored Moodlet, "Paperwork Drudgery". This is tough, as it takes a few hours to do and you're already gone for the 9-5. Just accept that your Sim has less time in the early levels and will eventually get a better job without the boring paperwork.

The Management Career Branch features Confident Aura items, which are appropriate for the Career however not very useful for gaining progress in it because they don't work when you're out of the room. They may, however, help with the success rate of Make Business Calls (found on the Phone under Household), which may only be done from 8PM-8AM on Weekdays - meaning your Sim needs to do them after work hours. Making these calls can help you get promoted faster so long as you have the Skill requirements met. Sims who make successful calls may get a Confident or +2 Embarrassed Moodlet depending whether they succeed or fail at the deal. It's more important you complete them than if you bother to make them. I'd do them after work so that there is no chance of going into work totally embarrassed and risking some kind of freak accident emotional death. In order to get Confident before Work, you can simply Psych Self Up using a mirror or make your Sim brush their teeth.
Investor Benefits
The Investor Branch has an Ideal Mood of Focused. It is the one I'd prefer between the two choices here, simply because of the Invest in Stock ability. Researching Stocks is the daily task (done under Computer > Web) and can give a +1 Focused Moodlet when complete. You'll also gain the ability to invest your Sim's money in stock. It seems that if you first use the Research Stocks ability and get the Moodlet you will have better results from investing, although you can still lose money. You can get up to 2.5x your money, or lose big and get only 20% of it back - there's a huge range of possibilities. Sims may invest $1,000, $2,000 or $5,000. In the long run, it seems worth the risk if your Sim has the Simoleons to spare. Investments may be made every 48 hours.
The Investor's Career Reward of items that give Focused Moodlets may aid in Investing, but is sure to help in other computer-related endeavors like Programming and building their Logic Skill should you place a Chess board or other Logic-building item within the same room. The easiest way to get Focused before work is to use a chess board and ponder moves just before the carpool arrives.
Is the economics degree the correct information listed for the level boost of the investor branch, as my sim got a degree w/ honors then when I got a business job it put him at level 1 not Investor 8 but other careers seen to work ok
The Guide information is all correct and every time I play test this scenario (with any career) my Sim always starts at the correct boosted level that matches his/her degree. I am really unsure how to help as it simply always works for me. Maybe you joined the incorrect career for the degree your sim got? I just really don't know. I see quite a few comments saying their sim didn't get the expected degree boost to their career..but I just don't have enough information as to why it goes wrong for players.
I'm wondering how much the pension for a business tycoon is daily. I have a sim who became elder and has lots of vacation time left. So I'm wondering if it is worth it to retire him before using it up or if I should run it out first.

There is a new platform tool in The Sims 4. There's also a new Sentiments system, but it'll take some time to create a guide to that. Players can also use rental lots in any world now by changing lot types of builds in manage worlds.
I now have a guide page to Tiny Living Stuff where you can learn about Murphy Beds, the new death, as well as the lot bonuses you'll receive if you manage to keep the size of your lot down with this new pack's Tiny Home Lot Type.
This was inspired by a series, "Let's Play a Super Sim" in which I start at toddler and gradually take on the major bonuses. Here's a link to each part for people who are interested. You can also see the Let's Play as a Playlist on Youtube.
The Sims 4 Discover University has been announced for November 15 for PC/Mac and December 17 for Xbox and Playstation 4 consoles. Click to learn more about the pack, see my summary of the livestream or read our FAQs below.
The management track can only be reached once the starter track has been completed. If you choose the Investor track, the management track cannot be completed. The description of the management track is:
