Job Description –

·         Upgrading Oracle database from 12c to 19c version for Oracle EBS application 12.2.8

·         Troubleshooting and resolution of database and application issues encountered as part of the upgrade

·         Working with Oracle support to resolve issues and seek recommendation on best practises for upgrade

·         Extensive knowledge and experience in Oracle RAC, PCP and DMZ environments.

·         Collaborate with Application Functional testing and boundary application teams and work on issue resolution reported by teams

·         Develop upgrade runbook for database upgrade

·         Work towards reducing the upgrade downtime by streamlining and optimizing the upgrade process

·         Work with Infrastructure teams (Linux, storage teams) to plan and upgrade for infrastructure components e.g. OS, Grid upgrade

·         Environment planning for multiple upgrade test cycles

·         Working with Project Manager and others stakeholders to adhere to project timelines set for upgrade

·         Work on performance issues reported by testing teams, work on SQL tuning advisor, SQL profiling

·         Develop documents for system maintenance (Patching, cloning, service account password change)

·         Setup a Disaster recovery environment using Oracle dataguard and perform DR test

 

Experience

·         10+ Years of experience as Oracle Apps DBA and Oracle DBA

·         Extensive experience working on 12c and 19c database versions

·         Extensive experience working on Oracle EBS 12.2 version

·         Flexibility to work in 24*7 model.

·         Ability to learn new technologies and tools

·         Good communication skills
