Hello everyone,

I apologize for the recent spam on this list! I don't know how they were even able to post, because they were not members and the settings were already such that non-members shouldn't have been able to post. But I have banned the specific email addresses that have posted, and I have locked down the settings a bit more so that hopefully no more get through. The flip side is that first-time posters will have to wait for their messages to be approved. So if you are a first-time poster, just be aware of that – and if you feel that your message has been lost in the admin approval queue, you can send me a direct email separately to ask me to look into it and release your message to the group.

Good news, everyone! The moderated-first-time-post filter seems to have worked, as it just caught another dryer vent cleaning message. I'm hoping that didn't make it to anyone on the list, but please do let me know directly if you see anything that doesn't belong here.
