straw bale building

Hello Sustainable Building Google Group Does anyone know anyone that's familiar with straw bale building in this area? I have friends who are interested in putting up a small building for about $40,000 Gull, are you still the admin person for this Google Group? How can I add these friends to the Group list so that they can communicate with people directly? (They may be interested in more than just straw bale building) Cheers, Fiona

Hi Fiona

It is good to read of someone considering strawbale as a construction option.

We built a small studio, 11m X 4m, with strawbale about 2 years ago and very much enjoyed the experience. 

We used a professional strawbale builder to do a workshop and had a good local carpenter.

We learnt a lot and could impart a goodly amount of "what not to do" as well as encouragement to try it out.
