Dear all,

Can we look at the way power switch over happens between TNEB power and DG power? Every time, there is a gap, devices switch off and then the power comes in. The problem with this approach is

  1. Any personal work on a PC does not get saved. I know that I belong to a dwindling minority of people using desktops.
  2. It takes literally 2 minutes for the internet to kick back in.
The second point is very frustrating during office calls within my company, official live events and conferences that I am host/moderator. It is a bit more exasperating during the calls with parties outside my company.

We have tried 2-3 UPSes in the last 2-3 years and they do not seem to be an effective solution - especially with the power interruptions in our area, the UPSes seem to die out within 3-6 months and currently I am using more like an plug extension cord rather than as UPS.

I am saware of a few other apartments where the switchover happens without power interruptions. Can this be taken up for deliberation please?

If there are any other solutions (like a better UPS which some of you use with long life), I am open to consider the same.
