Thanks to all that attended the meeting last Thursday... and a huge thanks for signing up to volunteer!!

This Week:

-Monday - 1st day of practice 8a.m.-10:30a.m., Varsity Lift: 10:30-11:30 - Coach is there early before 7a.m. and invites the boys to come in early. Players receive Coupon Cards to sell.

-Monday Deadline - Order your player's equipment

--Varsity Players Order: Nike shoes - either pair = $72. Badger Basic Performance Crew $15.50.

--JV and Freshman Order: Red & Grays = Badger C2 Basic Performance Tee $10, and Badger C2 Basic Performance Mesh Short $10.

Previous players that own the items do not need to order.

Thursday 8/15 6-8p.m. - Meet and Greet your Coaches ~ Booster Club Social!!! Capones Brick Oven Pizza - Hideaway Room. ~~Free Appetizers~~ Lets have fun before the season starts and the coaches are way busy!! Happy Hour until 7p.m.

Capones - 4304 Westheimer @ Midlane, Houston, TX 77027 There's great parking at the back of the restaurant. From Westheimer, inside the loop, turn on W. Lane Dr.(1 block west of Mid Lane) – go to the 2^nd parking lot - big parking area, and easy access to the "HideOut Lounge" reserved for us. Parking is also available in the business buildings across the street from Capones on Mid Lane.

Friday 8/16 11-noon: We'll sell bottled water at 4 tables in the courtyard at the school's "Freshman Cardinal Camp". Easy fund-raising. Please reply back to volunteer!!

Saturday 8/17 Media Day – Depending on the heat Pictures start at 2pm or 3, then Scrimmage, then Family Fun! Please respond if you have any carnival games or raffle ticket items.

Upcoming Events:

Blitz Night – August 22nd We need parent volunteers to drive the kids to designated areas selling the coupon cards. All players – please plan on attending. We’ll provide food and drinks for the players and volunteers.

First Scrimmage - August 23^rd - vs. FB Elkins at Butler Stadium. Freshman kickoff at 4:30. JV kickoff at 5:30. Varsity kickoff at 6:30. Go Cards!!!

School Starts – August 26th

First Game- Freshman and JV August 29th, Varsity August 30th - vs. Alief Taylor.

Freshman games are Thursday 8/29 @ 4:00 and 5:30 at BHS field.

JV game is Thursday 8/29 @ 4:30 at Alief Taylor H.S. (7555 Howell-SugarLand Drive Houston, TX 77083) .

Varsity game is Friday 8/30 @ 7:00p.m. at Bulter Stadium. We’ll try to have discount tickets available the day before the game... more information to come.

Port Arthur Games - Rental Bus for Members and Supports - September 19th Freshman and Septmeber 20th for Varsity Game -We’re considering renting a leisurely bus ride for parents to share expenses, kick back and enjoy this 2hour drive. Food and drinks are allowed on the bus. If we have enough interest, the expenses are around $25/pp.

Monday Night "Game Movies": September 9th will be our first meeting - Every other Monday we’ll have meetings and watch game videos. Bring the family. Free popcorn.

We're receiving ads for our Fall Football Program, and/or our new website. We have four teams... Varsity, Junior Varsity, and 2 Freshman Teams = great publicity!
