Officers meeting Notes 09/16/2022

Good Evening  Fellow Toastmasters,

As everyone knows, officers have Officers meeting every 3^rd Friday of the month. The notes from the September 16^th meeting are below.

 

 1.    Strategy attracting new people:

- do more open houses

- make meetings more appealing/interesting with more speeches

- actively invite  friends/colleagues and people who can benefit from TM

 

 2.   Mentoring program:

           - officially we have a mentoring program. If you would like to be a mentor/ mentee please contact Maryruth Dilling with all the questions and she will be happy to help you. Thank you Maryruth!

 

 3.   Ideas for the meetings especially for evening meetings for October:

           - at the meeting officers decided to set a theme at least for  two meetings of the month.  We are looking forward to ideas from ALL members for the whole year 2022-2023.  Please send the themes to Eloise Young or Ksenia Plekhanova

          -  For October we have the following themes:

             October 10^th- autumn

             October 19^th and 26^th Halloween.

 

  4.   Club Success Plan

           At the end of September all TM clubs should submit the Success plan to Toastmasters International. In order to do so we need your help. Eloise Young will send a goal setting sheet for the year. Would you please fill it out and send it back? We appreciate the collaboration.

 

  5.   New Schedule. For some members it is difficult  to attend the first Monday of the month at lunch  due to work.  As of October, we decided to change our schedule.  1^st and 3^rd Wednesday of the month club will have evening meetings and 2^nd and 4^th Wednesday club will have lunch meetings.

 

   6. Our dues are due at the end of September and we hope that all of our members will continue their journey with our club. If you have any changes please contact Lindsay and let her know. Thank you Lindsay!

 

  7.  The September 21^st meeting theme is Hispanic Heritage. It will be an amazing meeting with Jacqui Sadashige as a Toastmaster ( Please wish Jacqui luck and big thank you for being a TM for the first time).  Please fill out the open roles and we hope to see you soon.
