Hello Everyone, 

Below please find the notes from the recent officer's meeting. 

 Eloise, thank you so much for your help with this.

1. Adopt-A-Meeting-  In order to make our meetings  more interesting and attractive we ask every member in our club to adopt a meeting at least two months ahead. It means  to be a TM once and give a speech at least once in two months. 

·         November Adopters (for Toastmaster role):

o   11/2 – Eloise

o   11/16 - Oleg

o   11/23 – cancelled

o   11/30 – 5^th Wednesday meeting; will make it a noon meeting

·         Lindsay agreed to be the TM for the January 11^th meeting

 

2. Upcoming meetings

o   Themes

·         November 2nd and 9th- Reflecting Back to Focus Forward 

·         November 16th and 30th - Gratitude 

·         December 7^th – Goal Setting

·         December 14^th – Mentorship

 

3. Meeting advertisement -  Create flyer and post it on LinkedIn for most of our meetings. Prepared speeches and a TM should  be known by then 

 

4. Membership Survey – We agreed to create a survey to ask the members the following:

o   Will you attend noon meetings, evening meetings, or both?

o   Are you interested in ether being mentored or becoming a mentor?

§  Anyone can request a mentor - even long-time members.

§  Mentoring can just focus on a particular topic like using Pathways, using the website, or even meeting roles.

§  Eloise will create a draft and send it out to the officers for approval

 

5.  Other Business

o   TMI began charging taxes for membership fees in October. Our club will absorb the cost for our new members.   

o   Food Export used to host our in-person meetings. We need to find out whether they are willing to continue to keep our lectern, banner, projector, and other items in their office. Eloise will ask. If they’re not, we will check with the Positively Charged (PECO) club.
