Hi everyone,

Belize Open Source was originally setup a loose group of like minded individuals to promote Open Source in Belize. An important component in this system is the free education and free access to knowledge.

However we have not been active since hosting the ECSL in 2013. this year ECSL was in NICARAGUA. There were discussions on the mailing list as to what the ECSL was for, promotion or get together of open source users it was decided it was both.

I would like us to plan a BelizeOS conference for before the end of this year. If anyone would like to help me please reply to this tread, I may be able able to get UB as the venue but would like to have a more formal plan before I approach them.

we would need to plan what talks, workshops, demos, exhibitions and (maybe) great food we can provide for an all day event.

so anyone have any ideas or would like to volunteer to do a talks, workshops, demos or exhibition to promote open source let me know.

I would definitely like to attend, but to volunteer for a talk or demo I'd have to think about and am not sure if I qualify/want to. I hope we get something going though.
