I notice that on our home page of belizeos.org it says that we are an advocacy group that promotes Free/Libre/Open Source Software (FLOSS) in Belize and that we do this by providing the community technical support and information on FLOSS to all who may be interested. I was thinking maybe we could do this better if we had a forum running on the webserver like phpBB. I could easily set this up. It would actually be fun to moderate I think.

What do you guys think?

Cheers,

sounds like a good idea, how about using something less technical as
most new users won't know what or how to use a forum. perhaps a
Facebook group can be created as everyone is more used to that and
since u have to use your real name it will keep things more civil.
just my suggestion.

I'm not a huge fan of facebook, but we could maybe cross post interesting stuff to facebook and encourage people to join the forum on every post.

BTW, I already created the forum here: https://forum.belizeos.org check it out and consider registering.

Another reason to consider the forum is because we can create nice code blocks easily by using the

tags.
