Now that Summer League is kicking off on Tuesday nights, is Wednesday
night training still on? Is there enough desire for Ultimate two
weeknights in a row? I probably won't go to Wednesday night training
if I've had a match on Tuesday night, and I would imagine I'm not the
only one.

Well, has anybody said that trainings on Wednesdays would stop once the league is on?

If not, players who want to play for the UK Regionals and/or the All Ireland championships would rather practise on Wednesday evenings.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I do not expect the level of the summer league to be high enough to properly prepare such championships. We are getting prepared to play Chevron and Leeds... and be honest, just to look decent.

So if you have to make a choice, go for Wednesdays!

Cheers,

Benoit.

I've been healing and out of town, but I'll be there Wednesday this
week and should be available for most practices from here on out. Not
sure if I'm quite good to play yet, but I would at least be up for
throwing and drills.

I'm in a similar situation. I like the idea of an intensive skills/
fitness training if I'm not injured.

everyone should be making wednesdays. these sessions are going to be
critical for us in doing well at all ireland champs. we need to train
together as a team. summer league teams maybe training together but we
need to know how everyone else plays.

i cant see summer league being to intense to be honest. we all know
how it will pan out. if we cant play two nights of ultimate in a row
then how will be be able to play a weekend tournament?

so in short, training is on tomorrow. there will be some fitness to
start. few drills and games.

look forward to it........or else!

Garry,

"i cant see summer league being to intense to be honest."

The CHASE vs Deep Heat match was very intense. The Summer League has
it's flaws. Intensity isn't one of them.

Oh, I assume that was Keith Maxwell and not old Keith? (He needs a
better nickname)

Who's this 'old' Keith guy? Older (slower, crapper) would be fair
enough!!!

Yea wednesday was a good sess, i think if we only play one game on tues nite and then some lite pickup, two nites in a row is do-able. We've only got.. what 8 weeks left till All Irelands?

Garry Hughes

correct. 8 weeks on saturday. so hopefully that will be a wake up call
for people to get down to training regularly if they are wanting to
make the first team. there will be a second team though if people
would prefer to play on that.

I kinda like the extreme irony of someone calling me 'Supersub' - only
played when someone gets injured.
