Open for bids 2017: Easter, Summer and Christmas tournaments

Dear BU,

Bids are open for tournament directors for our standard three annual tournaments in 2017:
* Love Easter aka Game of Throws [outdoor hat tournament?]
* Belfast Open & Regionals* [outdoor open x 2]
* Christmas Cracker [indoor]

These tournaments are the life-blood of the club in so many ways. They're great for getting huge numbers of QUB and BU players together, they're great training for all the teams involved, they put Belfast on the ultimate map throughout Ireland and beyond, and (when all the pieces fall into place) they make our indoor training financially viable! Given all that, the TD should expect lots of help from us all.

Could you be a tournament director? Organising a tournament is great experience -- if you can organise a tournament, you can organise anything. Even better, a handy template of standard things for you and your TD team to plan can be made available. Experienced TDs are available for advice if desired. Bear in mind that some things that may seem complicated (e.g. hiring a portaloo) have been tackled before and can normally be put in place by a simple phone-call.  

Email bids to secr...@belfastultimate.org. If you have any questions, ask any of the committee or past TDs. Given the different levels of urgency, I propose the following deadlines for bids:
for Love Easter/Game of Throws: Thursday 16th February
for the other two: Tuesday 28th February

Since it's pretty important to the club that the tournaments are organised professionally, a profit-share agreement has been put in place.
