We are HighWire Press, and we have recently expanded to Belfast from Silicon Valley in order to maximise our international reach. We specialise in providing powerful technology solutions to over 420 Scientific, Medical and Technology publishers, societies and university presses globally.

We are currently growing our creative, technology teams in Belfast and are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer who can help to make our infrastructure more automated, flexible and robust, as well as participate in the design and implementation of our new infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 2-3(+) years experience using Linux, VMWare and Cloud Technologies.

We will offer a competitive salary and a tonne of company incentives for the right skill set.

What technologies do we use:
- CentOS is our OS of choice and powers our environment of approximately 2500 servers.
- We monitor our estate using Nagios and Pingdom.
- LAMP stack and Drupal powers our platform and we make regular contributions to open source Drupal projects.
- We use VMware for visualization
- You can install your favorite distro right onto your company laptop

Current and Future Aims & Projects:
- We are moving all our services to Cloudflare and are currently looking at cloud technologies such as AWS.
We currently use Cfengine for configuration management but are going to be re-writing everything from the ground up using Ansible and Puppet.
Our data center in California will be moved to a new location in California so we have a good opportunity to green field our estate.
