Hi all,

At the last meeting, we thought it might be useful to start putting together some kind of 'topic list' which represents the different interests of the group and which both newcomers and advanced users could contribute to. The hope is that this might encourage further knowledge sharing, inspire people to present on a particular topic, or lead to themed sessions in a particular area.

It would be great if everyone could add a few things to the list. I know many of you have projects on the go or in mind and it would be great to have these start to filter into the sessions. It might help to stimulate some discussion here before bringing these to the sessions.

Examples could be:

- a topic you'd like to know more about
- something you've learned that you'd like to share
- a particular problem you're having in SC
- a patch you're looking to build, but don't know how to approach
- a composition or idea you want to realise using SC

To get us started, I have a few things that sprang to mind in the last weeks:

- building Standalone applications using SC (James has been doing some of this, I'd be interested to see how it's done)
- writing classes (Cavan mentioned this)
- object modelling using events (Graham - I recently learned how to do this)
- adding/extending Qt GUI's (Graham - I'd like to know to do this)
- collaborative coding using JITLIB / Republic (Graham - I'd be interested to try this in the group)
- managing node order on the server (general)
- SuperCollider on the Raspberry Pi (general)

These are all quite technical things, some creative topic ideas would be great too. Let's see what else we can come up with...

Graham
