Fwd: Next Belfast SuperCollider User Group Meeting, Wednesday 13th March 6:30pm @ Farset Labs

Hi all,

I forgot to pass this on to the internal list earlier, but just to let you know that the next Belfast SuperCollider User Group meeting will be taking place *tonight* from 6:30pm at Farset Labs (full address and maps link below). All are welcome, feel free to meet us in the SARC lobby from 6pm to walk down to the venue, or give me a call on 0794 2210777.

Following on from the BLISS concert last week, the topic for this week's meeting will be networking in SuperCollider. For those interested, I'm happy to talk about the setup we used in concert last week, and about performing collaboratively over a local network using the Republic quark. There will also be plenty of opportunity to explore other related topics including:

- practical use of Open Sound Control (including the recent OSCFunc and OSCdef classes)

- exploring the Netlib quark

- building a networked multi-user instrument

Also, we're in the process of choosing topics for future meetings up until May (including an exciting project in collaboration with Catalyst Arts), so that we can promote more widely. So if there's anything you'd like to present, demonstrate or know about, please let us know...
