Take A Short, Easy Ride Along The Kennebec River On Tuesday, May 16
Join us on Tuesday, May 16 (we originally planned for May 10, but because of weather, we're going with our back-up date) for our Legislators Biking and Walking Tour, and enjoy either a low-key, four-mile ride that starts out along the Kennebec River Rail Trail and loops back to the Statehouse via Route 202, or a leisurely paced, one-mile walk along the trail. We'll meet up at the Plaza between the Statehouse and the Cross Office Building at 7:30 am, have some coffee and some tasty breakfast treats, and get on the trail at 8. We'll be back at the Plaza by 9 am.

It's a great way to get some fresh air and spend a bit of time with legislators talking about how to make biking and walking in Maine better and safer.

If you'd like to come along, there are two things you need to do. First, sign up here. Second, ask your legislators to come along, too. We'd like as many legislators as possible to participate, and nothing motivates legislators like personal appeals from constituents.

You can find your legislators' contact information here or, if you like, give us a call and we'll help hook you up.

We're Taking Over The Taps At Arcadia In Portland
Before you bike home from work on Tuesday, May 16, stop by the Arcadia National Bar at 24 Preble Street in Portland  from 5-7 pm for the Maine Beer Company & Bicycle Coalition of Maine Tap Takeover.

Bring your friends and enjoy some of the finest craft beer to be found in the Great State of Maine, brewed by our friends at the Maine Beer Company. We'll have lots of door prizes to give away (cool Coalition swag) and plenty of free bicycle parking, right in front.
Find a Bike To Work Event Near You Or Commute With Us In Portland On Friday, May 19
On Bike-To-Work Day, Friday, May 19, make sure to visit us in Monument Square from 7:30-10:00 am. We'll be celebrating the day with tasty treats, giveaways, discounts for area businesses, a photo booth, and more!

And new this year, we've organized a group commute on Friday morning. We'll meet up at Payson Park, by Baxter Boulevard, and leave at 7:30 am, ending in Monument Square.
Valet Parking For Your Bike At The Portland Museum Of Art On May 19
On Friday, May 19, stop by the Portland Museum of Art as you ride your bike home for the PMA's second annual Bike Night. We'll be providing free valet bicycle parking and you can get on-the-spot tune-ups with Cyclemania, enjoy tasty beer specials, and a make-and-take art project that will spiff up any bicycle. We still need volunteers to help out with the valet bike parking, so if you're interested, drop us an email.
