Take A Short, Easy Ride
Along The
Kennebec River
On Tuesday,
May 16
|
Join
us on Tuesday,
May 16 (we
originally
planned for
May 10, but
because of
weather, we're
going with our
back-up date)
for our
Legislators
Biking and
Walking Tour,
and enjoy
either a
low-key,
four-mile ride
that starts
out along the
Kennebec River
Rail Trail and
loops back to
the Statehouse
via Route 202,
or a leisurely
paced,
one-mile walk
along the
trail. We'll
meet up at the
Plaza between
the Statehouse
and the Cross
Office
Building at
7:30 am, have
some coffee
and some tasty
breakfast
treats, and
get on the
trail at 8.
We'll be back
at the Plaza
by 9 am.
It's
a great way to
get some fresh
air and spend
a bit of time
with
legislators
talking about
how to make
biking and
walking in
Maine better
and safer.
If you'd like
to come along,
there are two
things you
need to do.
First, sign up here. Second, ask your legislators to come
along, too.
We'd like as
many
legislators as
possible to
participate,
and nothing
motivates
legislators
like personal
appeals from
constituents.
You can find
your
legislators'
contact
information here or, if you like, give us a call and we'll help
hook you up.
