I love the hacker/makerspace plan, and its getting there, but we need a cogent community for that to work, and for that, we need to use the University.
Queen's University Engineering, Science and Technology society (QUESTS) is a thinly veiled front for my personal crusade for a hacker/makerspace in Belfast, and I can't give it all away at the minute, but theres some really interesting shit about to start up.
Anyone who is brave enough to pass through a Facebook Login, please *like* us https://www.facebook.com/QUESTS.Belfast
For those not so brave, I'll be trying to replicate the 'useful' posts on our shiny new wordpress installation at http://quests.society.qub.ac.uk/
Currently looking into the space on adelaide that used to be Core, and when I get some solid numbers on what we need, I'll update everyone.

facebook lists it as content not available and the QUESTS society link gives a 403 error has links been moved/removed?

Times changed, we built the hackerspace, QUESTS died as no younger students wanted to continue it.
