Not to be awkward, but is there anyway to have this info not on Facebook
for those of us that don't have accounts?

To have a centralized place, to organize an event and get a rough idea
of who is going and who is not, along with a threaded discusion about
what might be done at said Hackerspace, is a good thing.

If there's an alternative that anyone knows about, I'd be open for
suggestions. Considering the vast majority of people have an account
on this website, it does make the most sense to communicate through
it.

We're not arguing that the centralization isn't a good thing, simply asking for a replication of the basics of the information in a location that isn't behind a login that some might not have (or might not be willing to sign up for).

I do agree the information (be it on Facebook or not) should be
accessible from anywhere. The best thing was for OP to include it in
his initial post. As I am not sure how finalized the details are,
etc. I'll leave it up to OP to post them.

Well I'm in!

Doing the October Challenge (http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2011/09/28/announcing-october-challenge-2011/) for Ludum Dare currently, so a good long session of hacking and red bull would do me the world of good.
