Note: The older Pro:Gen mod for Generals (latest version 1.9) is no longer available at DeeZire.net; you can download it at the ModDB website. Version 1.9 omits the Campaign missions and gives the player 9 Generals with modifications to some units' build costs and veterancies. The Command Centers of the nine generals are also given unique models to reflect their strategies.

Mission
The Reaper is employed primarily as an intelligence-collection asset and secondarily against dynamic execution targets. Given its significant loiter time, wide-range sensors, multi-mode communications suite, and precision weapons, it provides a unique capability to perform strike, coordination, and reconnaissance against high-value, fleeting, and time-sensitive targets.

Reapers can also perform the following missions and tasks: intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, close air support, combat search and rescue, precision strike, buddy-lase, convoy and raid overwatch, route clearance, target development, and terminal air guidance. The MQ-9's capabilities make it uniquely qualified to conduct irregular warfare operations in support of combatant commander objectives.

Features
The Reaper is part of a remotely piloted aircraft system. A fully operational system consists of sensor and weapon-equipped aircraft, ground control station, Predator Primary Satellite Link and spare equipment along with operations and maintenance crews for deployed 24-hour missions.

The basic crew consists of a rated pilot to control the aircraft and command the mission, and an enlisted aircrew member to operate sensors and guide weapons. To meet combatant commanders' requirements, the Reaper delivers tailored capabilities using mission kits containing various weapons and sensor payload combinations.

The MQ-9 baseline system carries the Multi-Spectral Targeting System, which has a robust suite of visual sensors for targeting. The MTS-B integrates an infrared sensor, color, monochrome daylight TV camera, shortwave infrared camera, laser designator, and laser illuminator. The full-motion video from each of the imaging sensors can be viewed as separate video streams or fused.

Water was the main consumable concern. It was estimated that the crew would run out of water about five hours before Earth re-entry, which was calculated at around 151 hours. However, data from Apollo 11, which had not sent its LM ascent stage crashing into the moon as in subsequent missions, showed that its mechanisms could survive seven or eight hours in space without water cooling. The crew conserved water. They cut down to six ounces each per day, 1/5 of normal intake, and used fruit juices; they ate hot dogs and other wet-pack foods when they ate at all. The crew became dehydrated throughout the flight and set a record that stood up throughout Apollo: Lovell lost 14 pounds and the crew lost a total of 31.5 pounds, nearly 50 percent more than any other crew. Those stringent measures resulted in the crew finishing with 28.2 pounds of water, about 9 percent of the total.

During the final portion of the MA-7 flight, the spacecraft was allowed to drift free to conserve fuel and toevaluate the behavior of the astronaut and vehicle during driftingflight. The spacecraft drifted for a total of 1 hour and 17 minutesduring the mission, 1 hour and 6 minutes of which was continuousduring the third orbital pass. Rates of 0.5 degree/second or lesswere generally typical of this period when the spacecraft was allowedto drift completely free of all control inputs. The pilot commentedthat on one occasion during drifting flight, he observed the moon fora significantly long period in or near the center of the window, indicating that attitude rates were near zero. Data showed thatspacecraft attitude rates were less than 0.5 degree/second duringthis particular period. The pilot also reported that drifting flightwas not disturbing and that he was not concerned when externalreferences were temporarily unavailable. It would appear, then, thatdrifting flight, in addition to conserving fuel, affords a periodwhen the pilot can be relatively free to accomplish many usefulactivities and experiments without devoting attention to spacecraftorientation.

Let me kick this off by saying that NATO is now exercising the full spectrum of maritime and air operations. On Thursday morning, this morning, at zero-six-hundred hours Greenwich Mean Time, NATO took the sole command of international air operations over Libya.
