Hi all, I'm running Windows on my Deck (for Destiny), and I cannot get the Bluetooth driver to install. Every time, it opens a command prompt, pops up a bunch of red text, and crashes. Has anyone had this issue? Any advice on how to handle it?
I have Bluetooth headphones, and they were out of battery so I disconnected them. When I tried to reconnect later, they refused, so I tried turning the bluetooth off and on in Windows. When I turned it off, however, the button to turn it back on disappeared:
I went to the Start menu and tried using Cortana to turn it back on, I typed "turn on bluetooth" and after a few seconds it said "Bluetooth is connected", and then another second later it says "Bluetooth setting cannot be changed".
EDIT 3: I attempted to install Intel's drivers but they did not show up in the driver's list. I then realized that there were "hidden drivers" and indeed, the original bluetooth drivers were hidden for some reason. All of them were up to date, but when I viewed their "properties" they displayed "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)". Should I uninstall them?
EDIT 4: As per Microsoft's suggestion, I uninstalled the device drivers and attempted to restart to reinstall them. Nope, no reinstall. My bluetooth drivers are just gone forever now.
EDIT: I just did this a second time because it happened again, and it doesn't fully work. I'm not sure why it worked for me the first time I tried it. Apparently installing the Intel Bluetooth driver and restarting isn't enough. I don't know what to do next.
iii.) You should be able to see your Bluetooth drivers now (if not, unfortunately I'm not sure what to do, your drivers might already have been uninstalled accidentally and you might just be able to skip to step iv, but no guarantee). Open the "Bluetooth" dropdown menu and uninstall each driver by right clicking it and selecting "uninstall":
iv.) Once all your Bluetooth drivers have been uninstalled, download and install a new Bluetooth driver, such as this one from Intel (make sure you choose the correct version for your system; 32/64-bit). Install it by double-clicking the .exe file you just downloaded and follow the instructions.
iv.i) (Optional) For good measure, restart your system in between uninstalling your Bluetooth drivers, and installing the new ones. Windows might automatically detect that the drivers are missing and reinstall them itself. It didn't do this for me, which is hwy I had to download the drivers manually.
v.) Once the new drivers have been installed, restart your system. For me, when I checked my device drivers after restarting, the newly installed Bluetooth drivers were there, and working properly. Knowing how sporadic Windows 10 seems to be, this could differ on your system, in which case leave a comment explaining the problems you've encountered and I'll be happy to assist (even though I'm not actually an IT guy, I just got lucky in fixing my own problem I suppose).
I tried to uninstall the WLAN drivers, reinstalled the drivers. Removed the driver software for both WLAN and Bluetooth (Intel) but nothing helped. The functionality was simply completely gone as there would be no Bluetooth devices plugged in. I also tried the troubleshooter, did several reboots. Nothing helped.
After the startup my previously not working card came back to life immediately and works now flawlessly again. I have to say that in my case it seems that a driver update (either WLAN or Bluetooth) broke the Bluetooth functionality of my adapter within Windows 10. It was impossible for me to bring it back to life with just software methods. So maybe this helps someone. It might also be worth a shot to just boot up Windows without the adapter. Power off and put it back in. I haven't tried that but based on my findings this might be a quick fix. Hopefully this saves someone a bit of time because it looks to me that software methods aren't solving the issue at least they didn't for me.
The specifics: My friend gave me his mac Magic Mouse. I have a windows 7 machine. With the mouse set up as just a generic HID device it works ok as a two button mouse with no scroll, the motion is smooth and the acceleration what you expect in a windows mouse.
The mouse actually has a fairly good lpi resolution, making it pretty sensitive. There are mac drivers available, extracted from bootcamp. They kind of work. The cursor will randomly freeze or stop responding to the mouse's movement, which is buffered, and then leap once whatever has caused the stall stops. As an added touch the mac drivers make the cursor move like it would on a mac, with that logarithmic acceleration, that will completely throw off any windows user. With the driers you get vertical and horizontal scroll, but that's it. There is no multi touch functionality, and you can't change any of the behaviors, like acceleration. There isn't multiclutch for windows, or other 3rd party software for a multi touch mouse.
So I figured I would endeavor to make my own drivers and multi touch functionality in windows for this thing. I know mac will never support it properly under windows and windows won't write there own drivers until there is a reason.
With intuitive operation, Bluetooth Driver ensures a satisfactory experience for the user, reducing complications to a minimum. Available for the Windows platform, this driver is accessible to a wide variety of users of this operating system.
Unlike other more specific drivers that do not always fit into specific hardware, Bluetooth Driver stands out for its compatibility and flexibility. While other programs require a selection of specific device and model, this driver avoids those steps, optimizing the process and making it as simple as possible.
Bluetooth Driver for Windows stands out as an essential tool for those who rely on Bluetooth connections. Its great advantage lies in its versatility and compatibility with multiple devices. Although there are other faster transfer methods than Bluetooth, the relevance and usefulness of this technology cannot be underestimated, and having a reliable driver is crucial. Overall, it is highly recommended for all Windows users looking for a simple, efficient, and easy-to-set-up Bluetooth connection.
Make sure you have the latest Bluetooth drivers
Computer manufacturers are regularly improving the way they handle Bluetooth devices. Make sure you install the latest Bluetooth drivers from your computer manufacturer:
The Windows 10 Bluetooth driver allows you to wirelessly connect Bluetooth devices to your computer. Unfortunately, Bluetooth device drivers can occasionally fail to connect or become intermittent. Unresponsive Bluetooth Drivers on Windows 10 computers can become a real burden, especially when devices are supposed to automatically reconnect when in range.
Bluetooth driver issues may prevent connectivity across devices. It is often easier and saves time to have automatic driver software updates. For those that wish to update on their own continue reading.
While many factors can contribute to a dysfunctional Bluetooth Drive, automatic driver updates can help alleviate future problems. With our recommended driver support, your Bluetooth make and model can be matched to the correct manufacture automatically. Consider automating your Bluetooth driver updates to save time and avoid the frustration in selecting the correct drivers.
I believe I have followed all the steps in Cant access in-built Bluetooth for Windows in Virtual Box. The Intel Bluetooth shows up as "Unknown Device". Windows 10 detects it, installs some software and pronounces it ready to use. However, when I look at "Unknown Device" it complains there is no driver. I have tried installing an Intel Wireless Bluetooth driver but the installation fails "This software cannot be installed on your system".
