Welcoming Rav Noam and Leora Koenigsberg this Shabbat

אנחנו מברכים בברכת ברוך הבא את הרב נועם וליאורה קניגסברג ומשפחתם לבית הכנסת "אוהל ארי" בשבת זו.   הרב קניגסברג הוא המועמד השלישי והאחרון לתפקיד רב הקהילה. אנו מקווים כי כל אנשי הקהילה ייקחו חלק בהזדמנות להכירו, ללמוד ולקיים אינטראקציה איתו ועם אשתו.       יהיו הזדמנויות רבות לשמוע את הרב קניגסברג במשך השבת, בעברית ובאנגלית. לוח זמנים יישלח בקרוב.     תתקיים סעודה שלישית באולם בית הכנסת, בה יוכלו אנשי הקהילה לשאול שאלות את הרב קניגסברג.   קורות חיים מקוצרים של הרב קניגסברג: הרב נועם קניגסברג גדל בדטרויט, סיים תואר ראשון בישיבה אוניברסיטה, ותואר שני בפילוסופיה יהודית בברנרד רוול (YU). הרב קניגסברג עלה לארץ בשנת1994  עם אשתו וילדיו, למד בכולל אברכים בישיבת שעלבים במשך 6 שנים ושימש כמדריך רוחני בכולל קיץ NCSY בישראל. במשך 12 השנים האחרונות, שימש הרב קניגסברג כר"מ בישיבת ההסדר בשעלבים, בה למדו סטודנטים מישראל ומחו"ל, כמו כן לימד במספר בתי מדרש לנשים ושימש במשך 5 שנים כר"מ בישיבת נווה דקלים. הוא משמש לעיתים קרובות כחזן בשבתות ובחגים, ומשתמש בכישרונו המוסיקלי כדי לקרב צעירים ומבוגרים. משפחת קניגסברג יש 8 ילדים וגרים במבוא חורון, שם שימש כרב בקהילה חדשה.   ליאורה קניגסברג נולדה בדרום אפריקה, עלתה לארץ כשהייתה בת 11. ליאורה משמשת כמורה  לחינוך מיוחד בדגש על ילדים צעירים יותר. ל

We are privileged to welcome Rav Noam and Leora Koenigsberg and their family to Ohel Ari this Shabbat.   Rav Koenigsberg is the 3rd and final candidate who will be joining our community for a Shabbat Probe and we hope that everyone will take the opportunity to meet, learn and interact with him and his wife.   There will be many opportunities to hear Rav Koenigsberg throughout Shabbat in both Hebrew and English. A complete schedule will be sent shortly.   There will be a Seuda Shlishit at BKOA where the Koenigsbergs  will have a Q&A session with the kehillah.   Short Bio Rav Noam Koenigsberg  grew up in Detroit and completed his BA at Yeshiva University and his Master’s Degree in Jewish Philosophy at Bernard Revel (YU).  He made Aliya in 1994 with his wife and children and spent 6 years at the Shaalvim Kollel Avreichim and acted as a madrich ruchani at the NCSY Kollel summer programs in Israel.  For the past 12 years Rav Koenigsberg has been a Ram at the Shaalvim Hesder Yeshiva teaching both Israeli and foreign students and he teaches at several women’s Midrashot as well.  Rav Noam was a Ram in the hesder Yeshiva in Nevei Dekalim for five years. He often leads the davening as a Chazan on Shabbat and Chaggim and uses his musical talent to inspire young and old in informal settings as well.    The Koenigsbergs  have 8 children and live in Mevo Horon where they founded a new kehillah and serve as their Rav and Rabbanit.     Leora Koenigsberg was born in South Africa and made Aliyah at 11 years old.  Leora teaches in the field of special education focusing on younger children.
