There are 3 sets of dreams in the story of Yosef. For Yosef’s 2 dreams, and the
שַׂר הַמַּשְׁקִים
& the
שַׂר הָאוֹפִים’s, the Torah does not describe the dream itself – it relates only the dreamer’s description of his dream to others. Only for Paroh’s dreams does
the Torah relate the dream itself, exactly as it is being dreamed.
Why is there this difference?
Probably relatedly, why does the Torah go back and repeat both dreams of Par’oh when he is describing it to Yosef?
