Folder Security Personal allows you to hide and lock folders and files. You can choose to hide them completely or restrict access by making them read-only, preventing modification or deletion by other users or programs. The program can also lock Floppy, CDrom, USB sticks, and other removable drives or make them read-only. It works with drive of all of FAT/FAT32/NTFS formats.
This program can also repair and prevent malicious changes on most options of the Internet Explorer, such as Start Page, Default URL, Window Title, Context Menu, and etc. Additional features include support for special folders (My Documents, Send To etc.), disable/enable the Registry Editor, default drives sharing, and password protected interface. This tool is foolproof, self-protected, and easy-to-use with drag-and-drop operation fully supported. This version comes with more protection options for files and folders, read-only protection for drives, stealth mode, and other major improvements.
The Secure Folder is the perfect place to store all the photos, videos, files, apps and data that you want to keep private. The folder is protected by the defence-grade Samsung Knox security platform, which encrypts all data stored there, making sure that your information is kept safe from any malicious attacks. You can also add a passcode or biometric lock to keep your data safe from any prying eyes.
When you move an app you already have installed on your phone into the secure folder, a copy of the app is created. You will be able to log in to the copy of the app in the Secure Folder using a different account to the original version. If you wish to have the app only in the secure folder, you will need to uninstall the version of the app on your apps screen.
The Dropbox website at -protection clearly states that it is possible to password protect a folder in Dropbox, and has an animation on the page that seems to show this happening in a couple of simple steps. However, my version of Dropbox (the basic personal free version) looks nothing like that, and this Dropbox forum has a number of (possibly out of date) posts stating it's not possible to password protect a folder.
Thanks for coming back to me. Why doesn't my screen (even on the website) look like the one on the Dropbox page? It may have something to do with my free version, but I've looked on the Dropbox plans site and there's nothing that explicitly covers this. I'm not going to pay for upgrading and just hope it's the right version.
I would like to add a Folder under our corporate account. This folder will contain personal information on our employees therefore, I want this new Folder password protected, the entire folder not just a document in the folder. How do I do this?

This is functionality that should just be included at folder level. Heck, the iOS version seems to have lost the generic passcode access feature. The instructions on -integrations/mobile/passcode-phone-tablet don't make sense anymore (for one thing, there is no gear icon). Hello Dropbox? Aaah to promote your fancy Dropbox Vault you again remove a free feature?
Finally, please have in mind that our Business Advanced subscription offers a feature called sign in as user. With this feature, you can sign in as the members of your team and check or even take action on the purple/personal folder files. :magnifying_glass_tilted_left:

Uhhh ... @Lusil ... Wow this is TERRIBLE as a multi billion dollar company you are.
We are in the same position ( I AM THE ADMIN) for a Law Firm, and there is NO reason for users, lets say 50, to have their own private folder as it can cause security, compliance and mischievous actions and breach company security. And if anyone has anything to say about this, then these persons/employees can go home and save private files on their own personal computer, NOT company owned assets.
Dropbox is also being paid by the Employer, therefore the asset/intellectual property and information is OWNED by the employer (hence the private folder) and NOT the employer and we should have a way to remove or turn off. You cant just hide files from an Employer, Operations Manager or HR when you are at a place of business.
If a law suit occurs, and exhibits or information are held in PRIVATE FOLDERS and not submitted into the court, and no one can see them, then this could result in a multi-million dollar counter suit and damages. CHANGE YOUR POLICIES Dropbox and STOP flowing with the times. I know 2019 and 2020 are the years of entitlement and everyone is offended at something, but you dont reserve the right to harbour privacy and damages as a result of hidden and private files from an Emplpoyer that pays YOUR bill. And this can be a costly invoice Annually/Monthly! We dont complain about paying you, you should have an option to either Remove/Allow Private those private folders, how's THAT for equality.
Stop acting like Facebook and creating controlled environments, thats a Free board, your services are PAID!
It's me again We connected on another forum earlier this year regarding the new release of Surface X tablets and searching for an override to not use Dropbox For S Mode. We returned the Surface X's with our tech vendor and instead rolled back to the Surface 7's so that we can leverage the standard desktop version of Dropbox.
Similar to this topic, I'm automating logic on daily field reports for our crews when on job sites to connect via API and save a version within our Dropbox For Business environment. The connector testing results are functioning as expected, expect there's one large hiccup. It's creating a new path under the purple shared folder for my user which is a big no no, instead of searching the shared root directory for all users to gain access to. I suspect because this private folder exists first in the root / top level and that it is using my credentials to connect via API to run the function.
