Beginnerscan find themselves salivating once they discover these mods and their installation process can be a bit daunting for them. This tutorial will guide players on how to add mods to The Sims 4.

So I have just got my sims back and I've switched from origin to the EA app and I'm in the process of downloading sims but i'm not sure where my mods file is i've searched high and low for it and its nowhere to be seen unfortunately could someone help

@_Manou1996_ The Sims 4 user folder, the one that contains the Mods folder, is always in Documents > Electronic Arts no matter where you've installed the game's program files. If, however, you've used a symbolic link to move the user folder to the external drive, then that's where you need to look. This would have been a separate process, so if you don't think you went through that, you probably didn't.

With the new "EA App" launcher, the file structure has completely changed. "The Sims 4" file is now in the "EA Games" file and no longer contains the "Mods" or "Saves" file. I am looking for where is the new location of the "Mods" file?

The Sims 4 has many unofficial mods and Custom Content that you can install to expand upon or improve gameplay, such as texture mods, new hairstyles and eye colors, custom houses, and more. This page teaches you everything you need to know about How to Install Mods in TS4 and where to find CC on PC and Mac.

There are thousands of websites that offer Custom Content for TS4. Some focus solely on certain things like appearance mods or furniture, while some have everything. So it can be confusing and sometimes overwhelming to know where to look.

Now that you've located your Mods folder, unzip your downloaded content if needed. Then, simply copy your .package, .blueprint, .trayitem, or .bpi to the /Mods or /Tray folder. If you want to organize your CC by type, you can create folders inside the main folder, e.g. Hairstyles, Jewelry.

A menu should pop up every time you start The Sims 4, confirming the mods you want to use with your game. You can also turn Custom Content off from this menu if you decide you don't want to play with certain ones in this session.

To find Custom Content easily when in-game, check off the "Show Custom Content" box in the catalog, Gallery, or Lots menus. This will filter all your downloaded content so you don't have to scroll endlessly to try and locate it.

MOD (modification) is a modification or enhancement program of the game which has the ability to modify some game settings. In Sims 4, its existence can change the behavioral characteristics of sims, or introduce new functions, so as to improve the game's playability greatly.

Compared with mod, CC (Custom Content) is much simpler. In Sims 4, CC usually represents the clothes, hairstyles, facial features, furniture, and other items that the creator wants to add to the game, enabling players to have more rich decoration choices.

In the eight years since the game was released, developers keep promoting new DLC and expanding game settings to increase the freshness of old players. At the same time, the number of platforms applicable to Sims 4 continues to increase, and the EA game officially opens for free download on October 18, 2022. These moves have brought more fresh blood to Sims 4.

I've downloaded the mods, extracted them into the community folder, but the aircraft/scenery aren't showing up in my game. I re-read the instructions, and tried drilling down into the download folders to try and find which one I'm supposed to move into the community folder. I'm new at modding so I need help beyond "extract into community folder."

I am having a lot of problems getting add-ons to work. First, there is no readme text file in the Zion scenery as you state (view the README file contained within the download). Second, some of your aircraft/scenery instruction says to create a co...

Hello GULLIVER,It sounds like you're facing a couple of challenging issues transitioning from FSX to MSFS2020. I've encountered similar situations in the past, and I'm more than happy to provide some assistance.1) Cockpit Controls not responding...

I fly in and around Atlanta in many different aircraft tuned to GSU VOR and have not received the signal. I am typically VFR, 4500 to 9500 feet. I am using MSFS2020, and Win 11 on a top-of-the-line computer....

Ever since the new update of the Sims 4 and the CurseForge app, almost all of my downloaded mods had to be reinstalled and there are too many of them to do that one by one...

I hope we get a feature to mass reinstall, mass delete mods, or maybe a feature to auto-select all of the mods.

I would really like a mass clear button for when I want to restart my mods folder to make a new mod. To declutter my "My Mods" tab instead of just having all the installed and disabled mods all jumbled together would be so nice.

Most custom content (for items like clothing and objects) and mods will use the .package file extension. These require no formal installation and simply need to be placed within the mods folder or a relevant subfolder within that for them to work.
