Five is looking for an Operations Manager (OM) to work out of our growing Beijing office!
The OM will be in charge of overseeing the sourcing, production, and quality control of the sweetest ultimate gear around. If you’re interested in international supply chain management, this job will provide a great opportunity to grow, learn new skills, and be challenged to think creatively.
The position is a full-time, 40hrs/wk position. Pay is salaried. Hours are generally 9am-6pm on workdays, but candidates must be flexible to accommodate creative schedules for factory visits, to troubleshoot problems during critical times, or to interface with Seattle HQ or Amsterdam Office via phone or video chat. This position has a significant amount of autonomy, and the OM plays a key role in Five Ultimate’s success! Operations Manager in Five’s Beijing Office
We are looking for an Operations Manager (OM) to work out of our growing Beijing office!
The OM will be in charge of overseeing the sourcing, production, and quality control of the
sweetest ultimate gear around. If you’re interested in international supply chain management,

The OM is supported by the Production Manager, and is responsible for ensuring that all Five
Ultimate products are produced to quality standards, on time, as ordered. Other responsibilities
include working with ultimate teams and tournaments in Asia to design and produce customized
gear and uniforms, as well as collaborating with the Seattle-based products department head to
develop new Five Ultimate products. Strong candidates are proactive, detail-oriented,
motivated, positive, and problem solvers. Prior experience in materials sourcing or production is
helpful, but not necessary. The position will require solid analytical thinking skills and proficiency
in both English and Chinese. Perks include a fun and engaging work environment, competitive

Competencies
Bachelor's degree.
Excellent Communication Skills. Fluent in oral Mandarin. Fluent in spoken and written
English. Understands both Chinese and Western business mentalities, and is able to
smoothly navigate the cultural barriers between the two.
Proficient in Excel, Google products (Gmail, Drive, Calendar), as well as Adobe
Illustrator and Photoshop.
Comfortable with numbers and arithmetic. Detail-oriented.
Able to remain calm and collected in the face of setbacks for the purpose of problem
solving for the best possible outcome.
Must have strong analytical problem solving skills while keeping an open mind to
creative solutions. Long term solution based thinking, and proactive, not reactive
approach to problem-solving is critical.
Good multi-tasker. Able to handle many small projects without neglecting priorities.
Flexible to accommodate creative schedules of field work and office work.
Start date: As soon as possible
Compensation: DOE
Trial period: 1 month trial period at full wages. One year contract following satisfactory
completion of trial period
Vacation: 20 days paid vacation per year
