Hey there Folks. The 2015 China mainland tournament season begins in just under 3 weeks with the 4th Kunming Hat!

The Early Bird payment discount for the Kunming Hat 2015 (Sat-Sun, 24-25 Jan) ends at midnight tomorrow!!! (i.e. Wed, 7 Jan) So, get in quick if you want to save some money and participate in this fun tournament in one of China's most scenic and culturally rich regions (Yunnan Province)!!! See full info here: http://tophat.hattournaments.com/

费用 Fees (See payment details on the HatTournaments.com website - If you're coming from outside China, then contact the organisers to discuss other options. e.g. paying at the tournament)
250元/人 1月7日23:59前的早鸟
300元/人 1月22日23:59前的后鸟
Early Bird: 250rmb/person (Before January 7th 23:59)
Regular: 300rmb/person (Until January 22nd 23:59)
报名截止日期: 1月22日 Registration closes on the 22nd of Jan

By the way, if you go to the HatTournaments.com registration website and only see a small number of people registered, fear not! Because, they are also taking many more registrations by personal WeChat messages. That's also why they are asking everyone to send in a separate registration form too.

I hear from the organisers that they are aiming for 4 - 5 Hat teams for this tournament.

Looking at their sponsors and the parties they have organised, it looks like there will also be heaps of fun off the fields too!

Last, but not least, this is a great chance to escape the north Asian winter and also support a great regional China Ultimate tournament event.

If you're coming from outside China (and don't have a Chinese Visa or Resident Permit) and just want to drop in for this tournament and then head to a 3rd country destination, then you're in luck! Kunming Airport has a 72 hour visa-free transit facility, the same as Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou and about 8 other Chinese cities.

Unfortunately, there are currently only 51 countries' citizens, including only a few (6) Asian countries, that can use it. i.e. Asia: Republic of Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, UAE, and Qatar. See full list in the web link below.

The 72 hours begins at midnight on the day people arrive, so if you arrive on Thursday, then you'd have to leave by midnight on Sunday. If you arrive on Friday, then you'd have to leave by midnight on Monday.

The visa-free transit facility only applies if you are travelling between 3 different airports in 3 different countries. ie. 1) Country A --> 2) Country B Kunming, China --> 3) Country C (not in China or Country A).

See more info here and check with a Chinese embassy directly too: http://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/free-72hour/faq.htm
