Dear friends,
Last week we had a great BLUG meeting with lots of new participants.
And this Saturday we have our regular, already traditional coding-for-fun event.
There is also discussion about a Chuan'r dinner.
To top it off, Nicholas McGuire, longterm linux developer will join us for coding-for-fun this saturday.
He will give a talk about "True Random Numbers in Software".
coding-for-fun starts at 11am. Please bring your laptop or whatever tools and
materials you need for your project.
If you don't have a project you may learn from Xie Yi about his version of the quadcopter.
Or you may join a workshop about Linux distribution packaging for Foresight
Linux. To join the packaging workshop you need to bring a laptop and be able to install
Foresight Linux from
foresightlinux.org/downloads.
Nicolas talk will be right after lunch before project work starts.
As you can see, the BLUG is quite alive.
Yes, we forgot to send out a reminder for the last meeting, but that's just a little hickup
as we work out our new roles.
As some of you may remember, coding-for-fun was started in summer 2008, so it has now been running for 5 years. With this event we are now looking forward to the next 5 years.
We hope to see you at coding-for-fun or at the chuan'r dinner!
