Iwould start by running Eset's AV Remover tool: to verify that no other AV products are installed and to remove them. If this tool can't remove them, then you will have to do so manually. Reboot your PC.

The only other thing I can think of is you have some malware on your PC that is preventing Eset from installing. You might want to create Eset SysRescue bootable media and run an off-line scan with it and see if it detects and removes any malware.

For a start please generate a Procmon log during installation and then collect logs with ESET Log Collector. Compress the Procmon log, upload both archives to a safe location and drop me a message with download links. Also I'd recommend opening a support ticket for your local customer care so that the case is properly tracked.

@itman Fortunately, there's no malware.

@Marcos Before sending you a logs by ESET log Collector and Procmon, I have disabled all applications like virtualbox, openvpn, tor, etc. and installation went through successfully! I still wonder what blocked and why installation isn't constructed to throw away what's wrong, however that's not my problem anymore.

@itman There was active network connection; what's more installer has connected to ESET servers to check my license key. I just want to suggest that should be information thrown on the screen what's wrong instead of stuck at 0%. Thank you.

I have been trying to install an evaluation license for Creo View MCAD and the installation keeps getting stuck on "Installing License Server..." even though I restart the installation or wait it out. I just can't get past this step (see pic below).

Hi, I have the same problem: I was just granted a license through my company but when I tried using the installer I got stuck at the same point. I'm running windows 10.4 and the creo version is 3.0 M110

I got it working last night by followed Martin's advice and downloaded the license server manually. This allowed me to make a license that I could see in the Creo 3.0 downloader. However, when I selected this license it still wasn't giving me permission to download direct and parametric. Finally, I deleted and re-downloaded the download package and it installed it properly.

Just wanted to know if someone is having the same issue. I am getting stuck on installing new OMV 5.0.5, which I will like to know if it is also beta release or not. As in the forum says OMV 5.x (beta), but in the download page, there is no beta tag on.

I think I have figured out the issue. The installation process is getting stuck when trying to setup the network during the installation, I was able to click before the end, and seems the process continued correctly.

The problem you are having is with the Debian Installer (not created by OMV) and this is not beta - very stable. I have installed OMV 5 hundreds of times in proxmox and never had this issue. I would say it has something to do with your setup of the virtual machine.

Hello, I have tried multiple VM configs, by changing type of disk, type of CPU, etc, etc, but now that I was thinking I have not tried changing network adaptor, as I was saying it seems the install kept stuck on network step, and it went through if I cancel it during the process, I will tried changing network config and will let you know. In the meantime, can you please post your VM settings?

Is there a reason you are using EFI? I never use it unless I have to. One of my many configs pic attached: I use virtio for as much as possible because it is the fastest option and never had an issue in years and years of using it.

Well, it was just one of the configs, I tried. But I also tried yours. So do not know what might be failing for me and not for you. Probably, I do not have dhcp ipv6 and you have? Because as I was saying, it gets stuck on network config, so it could be that.

I know it's an old thread and I'm not sure if this has already been covered elsewhere, but this thread is what came up for me when I was googling this issue. In my case I was trying to run OMV 5.6.13 on XCP-ng using the Debian 10 template in XOA. The installer insists on using DHCPv6 and my network doesn't have it, so the installer wouldn't allow me to configure the network at all. IPv6 can be forced off by hitting tab in the boot menu with the "Install" option selected in order to edit the command line. Just add the following option (must go before the two dashes [--]):

in my case nothing happned, So issue was with my os or software so i thought to downgrade it to 23.3.1 for my (rx6600) and installetion was stuck to 87%. I kept it whole night still it was stuck to 87%. So I downloaded it to latest version 24.5.1 and hit installation and stuck to 49%. I gave up, i tried disable antivirus, reboot every thing, Nothing happnes, So i downloaded software which automitically ditect hardware and install appropriate software for it and it was stuck to 87%.

2- opened Launcher, held Option key (to make the icons jiggle) and clicked the x on xcode's corner! asked me if i want to delete the app and i confirmed but magically it stayed and when i opened it it was updated to the latest version! so basically it was done installing just didn't know it.

Just FYI: On the latest Macbook Air M1, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, I installed XCode from the App Store. I had exactly the same issue. I thought my installation is stuck. I left Macbook for the whole night, then it downloaded XCode (around 12 GB). After that, it started installing it. I left it for the whole day and didn't touch it. In the evening XCode was installed. I just needed to leave it for around 24 hours to do the job.

I had exactly the same situation, I updated MacOS and then updated Xcode to 12.5.1 and it got stuck on 7.2GB of 7.2GB. I left it for 4 hours with nothing happening (but in Activity Monitor 'installd' was working away). I left it overnight and it had sorted itself out by the morning.

To solve the "space" problem you can create a dummy file and directly remove it. This allows you to trick your computer that you actually have enough space. (Has to do with containers, read here for more info: -xcode-with-not-enough-disk-space-available-b96c8f17115b)

Solved - My new MacBook Air M2 was struggling with downloading and installing Xcode. The problem, I think, was that the laptop sleeps after a short period of time and that stops the download/install process. Download/install restarts at 80% or 0% when the laptop is reawakened - repeat. A simple way to avoid the laptop from sleeping is to open the Terminal application (Application/Utilities/Terminal) and type "caffeinate". That prevents the laptop from sleeping and lets the download/install process complete itself. When done type control-c into the Terminal and it will quit caffeinate.

I faced a similar issue while installing the 13.3 version. My progress bar was showing installing for about 1-2 hours and then it started showing waiting. What eventually worked for me was installing it using terminal code "xcode-select --install".

After trying to update to Xcode 14.1 on Ventura for nearly 24 hours, I eventually trashed the Xcode application, rebooted, started only the App Store, and did a new install, leaving the App Store in the foreground. It downloaded (about 7 GB in 20 minutes) and completed the install in less than an hour on my M1 Mac mini.

After updating to Ventura, there was an update to Xcode 14.1 in the App Store. As with previous versions, I had trouble installing it. This time though, the install would progress to 61% (seen by hovering the mouse over the spinning circle in App Store), then stay there. Filtering for ASDAppQuery in the Console, as suggested in other answers, showed progress for a while, but then also stopped. The installd process was still using a lot of CPU. However, after a while it would stop doing so. It seemed that the App Store app would stop, and a couple of times I checked Activity Monitor and saw that it was in "App Nap" mode. After waking up again, the appstoreagent would run at 95% CPU (one core) for a while, followed by installd running again, at around 300% CPU. This cycle continued, but with no progress. I tried leaving it overnight, but in the morning it was in the same state: neither appstoreagent nor installd doing anything, but then seeming to wake up and grind away again, but making no progress. I had also tried quitting the App Store and starting again, but the same kept happening - going to 61%, then spinning away with no progress indication. Finally, I decided to trash Xcode, reboot, and install - that worked quickly and flawlessly.
