to Beginning Oracle Database 12c Administration

I recently got the book and when I went to Oracle site to download the software it already came with the 19C version.I'm thinking that Oracle update it to the latest version and now my question is should I follow the examples in this book on the 19C that came with the machine that I imported or create a separate machine and install 12C release?
