Farm Work for Food Donations Opportunity

As an extension of the Giving Gardens we hatched the idea of organizing volunteer work days on local farms in exchange for the farm donating surplus produce to our community food donation sites. 

 

Several local farmers are interested in hosting work days, which could include weeding, harvesting, washing, packing boxes, or many other interesting farm projects.  It would be a great way to spend more time on a local farm to do field work and do it for a good cause.  

 

Please send me a message if you are interested and include if you are available certain days of the week or weekends.  Interested host farmers can contact me as well.
