The best way to control the most intelligent, powerful species on the planet would be to completely separate them from the love within themselves. As soon as they're old enough to form an understanding of who they are:

Force them into a system that teaches it's wrong to be yourself — if yourself differs from what's deemed normal.
Confuse them about their own biology, so they believe permanently altering their bodies is the path to happiness.
Require daily attendance at an institution that limits their focus to only approved information. Mandate this from age five into adulthood, repeatedly testing them so the information becomes their truth.
Provide an explanation for everything, leaving no room for independent thought. Scold and humiliate them if they express opinions that challenge authority.
Constantly remind them of their ancestors' cruelty and broadcast today's conflicts, so they live in fear and distrust one another.
Convince them their species evolved from insignificance — that their existence is random, devoid of purpose, making it harder to believe in a creator.
Tell them they're the smartest generation ever, so they won't question the system they're in.
Provide idols with artificial beauty, presenting them as ideals of perfection, so people remain dissatisfied with their own appearance and constantly compare themselves.
Create addictive digital platforms that rank them by numbers, tying self-worth to followers and ensuring perpetual dissatisfaction.
Build a society where the wealthy thrive and the poor struggle. Make money the central focus, yet keep it so difficult to attain that people remain trapped in constant effort.
Tax them at every turn, but claim it's for their benefit, so they comply without question.
Drain their time and energy during the week, then offer two days off to create a false sense of freedom and prevent rebellion.
Promote the consumption of poison in every social setting, so even on their days off, they remain disconnected from themselves and each other.
Fill their food with excess sugar and addictive chemicals — make it cheap, heavily advertised, and readily available, ensuring endless consumption.
When diet makes them ill, prescribe medications that only mask symptoms, creating daily dependence.
Charge exorbitant prices for healthcare, locking them into a cycle of consuming, medicating, and working.
Stir chaos and blame it on their own groups, fostering judgment and stereotypes.
Divide them in countless ways — so even if they connect on one issue, another keeps them apart.
