Hi all,
tl;dr - We’re closing down this mailing list; see
for details on how to get help.
The long version:
When I first created the BeeWare project, I took the example of almost every open source project I’ve worked on, and created two mailing lists - a users list and a developers list.
However, over time, it’s become clear that Google Groups aren’t the best mechanism for holding discussions. The signup process is confusing, and new users inevitably sign up for the “wrong” mailing list - sending user questions to -developers, and developer questions to -users. This means the first interaction of people with our community is “you’re doing the wrong thing”, which is less than ideal.
So - we’re going to try an experiment - we’re going to *not* have a mailing list. Instead, we’re going to use GitHub issues for long-form conversations, and Gitter for “real time” conversations. Using Github Issues means we can tag (and re-tag, if necessary) conversations as being developer-focussed or user questions; and conversations can be easily referenced in commit messages.

If you’ve got any questions… well, you know where to ask :-)
