Hi, everybody. I'm happy to announce that beets 1.0b15 is out now.

This is one of the larger releases in some time but doesn't have any
huge, earth-shattering features -- instead, I've focused on a long
laundry list of small but important fixes and improvements. See all
the changes here:

http://beets.rtfd.org/changes

Please note that there's one significant backwards incompatibility in
this release: the album art fetcher has been moved to a plugin. If you
were using album art and you want to keep using it, be sure to enable
the "fetchart" plugin after upgrading.

The pip way to upgrade is, as usual:
$ pip install -U beets

Enjoy!

Working with the new release since some days and it is great as ever. I have
the impression that fetching from MusicBrainz got faster, could this be true?

You might be seeing improvements to the way that plugins work. Stuff
that runs at import time -- fingerprinting, lyrics, album art,
ReplayGain, etc. -- now runs in parallel with the main workflow, so
each import should go a little faster individually.
