Hey guys, I've got a large directory of music where the albums are split, and sometimes tracks are duplicated, across multiple directories like in the sample screenshot attached of Dr. Dre's, The Chronic. This is mostly due to a failed import and library transform by Beets awhile back which I never really cleaned up due to lack of HDD space and free time. Many of the tracks have bad metadata wherein they have been fingerprinted with bad album info, too, etc. What are the best settings to accomplish this on a fresh import and clean my collection up programmatically? Many thanks in advance.

Alas, the current state of the art is to `beet rm` these from your library, put them into a directory together, and then `beet import` them again. I know, this is dumb! Here’s the relevant issue in the bug tracker:

Adrian, thanks for the quick response and for pointing me to the github issue, and no worries about the cludginess, I'll just remove them from their album directories with some bash and then reimport as you said. At this point, my collection can't get any worse (famous last words)...
