I need help deciding on which OS to install Beets. (Windows 7 or Linux).
My collection is over 20K and would surely appreciate a tutorial on the easiest path to installing Beets.

Thanks in advance.

Unix-based installations are definitely more thoroughly tested. All else being equal, choose Linux.

Since Beets is all command line, will a desktop Linux OS make any tasks easier?

Not as far as I can see—unless you want to browse your files graphically, which is always nice.
