Hey, everyone. First off, we should have a meeting today or tomorrow
to discuss the mobile market at the lantern parade on Saturday. Does
anyone want to volunteer some time early that evening? You'd be
walking around like an old-time peanut vendor at a baseball game
selling some food that highlights our products at the Beet. It's a
great way to raise awareness and feed people. Plus, it'll really help
raise money for our efforts.

We also need to talk about things in general. I think a storefront is
a great idea. Everyone seems really enthusiastic about it. However, we
really need to make what we have now run a little smoother before we
get bigger. When are people free to meet? Where does everyone want to
meet? My house is open. We have the Zodiac. I know some people prefer
to use a more familiar space. What do you think? Can we do it on a
weeknight after seven? I'd really like to talk about plans for the
future and ways to fix what's sloppy now.

Aliza and I are available today after 7:30.  I could also meet up tomorrow.  My house is also available.  kendall's house might be a more central location.  Also let us know if you are available for a couple hours on Saturday to volunteer (selling food) even if you can't make it to the meeting.

We should iron out the details for this Saturday (mobile market) and then maybe discuss some ideas to make the buying club run more smoothly.

Thanks,

Cheryl

Yup, I'm going to be making a ton of Old Bay flavored chickpeas, but we're going to need someone to walk/bike/something behind us since I probably can't carry about 15-20 lbs. of chickpeas as I walk...

I have my bike with a really big basket on the back. If someone wants to walk with the chickpeas and sell them, I could walk the bike with the extra pots of chickpeas so we can refill the stock as we go.

And in super-awesome news, I found a stash of soup containers at 2640 and am going to buy them off Red Emmas by the stack, which means I don't have to front $200 for 500 containers! Yay!
