[Bees Hockey 2016-17 a]

Parents,

I have attached a copy of the by-laws. I think it is important that you have a copy of these and read them. 

I was reviewing the minutes and realized that we have not been following procedure for the election of officers. The by-laws state that I am to pick a nominating committee in February. Since February is almost over, I am going to call an audible and have an open nomination. What I mean is that you can nominate yourself or someone else to an open position. I will list the people that have been nominated for the positions. if you would like to nominate someone else or yourself please do so. It is important to that you do not nominate anyone that you have not asked to take the position. We are adding a board position also, Vice President.

I would like all nominations by Tuesday, February 28, 2017. The board members will contact the nominees and see if they have any questions and if they are interested in the position. If there is more than one nominee for a position we will have a vote. This needs to be completed by April 15th. The new board will take over after our end of the year meeting in May.

In reviewing the by-laws please see Article X. These are standing committees. there maybe a committee that would be appropriate for you to lead.

Board positions-

President-Paul Hudock the board asked Paul last year to be the president 2017-18 & 2018-19 seasons. We had him attending meetings and trying to keep him in the "loop" as much as possible. Paul accepted this position. Normal nominations for President continue in February 2019 for this position. 

Vice-President-Mark Schwertle has been nominated

Secretary-Jessica Glassner has been nominated

Treasurer-Chris Watkins held this postion this year and has one more year in this position.

BAB Representative-Janice Morgan has been nominated.
