Someone posted this idea outside the mikvah here in RBS. I looked it up and its a very simple yet powerful segulah for Shovavim I translated it and added some suggestions

Please share:

Segulah for Shovavim

The following words were stated by Rav Moshe Forhand, the Author of Shu”t Responsa Ohel Moshe of Makova, in his final will and testament he promised that:

Whoever undertakes any deed of merit as a tikkun for my neshamah—even if he is not among my talmidim, and all the more so if he is—may rely upon my words that he will not depart from this world without complete and sincere teshuvah.

It is revealed and known, before the Kisei HaKavod that I labored greatly to return to Hashem with a full heart, particularly regarding the sins of youth, often with true mesirus nefesh

Through this avodah, I was granted from Above the ability to assist others as well, to rouse merit for them.

My name is Moshe ben Chaya Sarah; my righteous father’s name is Yosef Tzvi.

Suggestions:

Do a mitzvah in his name

  • Donate Tzedakah for His Neshamah (Tzedakah is related to Yesod the tikkun Pegam HaBris is also called Pegam HaYesod)

  • Make a donation in his merit

  • Dip in the Mikvah for his merit (Shovavim is a time of purity)

  • Study Torah such as Gemara, Halachah and Zohar in his merit

  • Do an act of chessed for his soul’s sake

  • Do a Taanis Dibbur - refrain from speaking anything but words of Torah and Tefillah for a full day, from dawn to dusk, or even for an hour

Classic practices, acts and deeds can include:

  • Light a candle for his memory, ner Hashem nishmos adam

  • Recite Kaddish for him

  • Study a Mishnah (Mishnah spells Neshamah) or Mishnayos that spell his name or from Mikvaos Chapter 7 that spell Neshamah

  • Recite Tehillim or the letters that spell his name from Chapter קי״ט 119.
