Berditchiver Menorah and Avodah

Rav Baruch of Mezibuz would jest and make light of the Berditchiver. Although it seemed that he was making fun of the Holy Rav Levi Yitzchak after his passing Rav Baruch revealed that he revered the Berditchiver avodah and only joked about it so as to prevent the angels from being jealous of him and saying "what do we need Mesiach and the Bais HaMikdash when Rav Levi Yitzchak already has in mind all the kavanos the Kohen Gadol!"

 

Rav Baruch used to say that when the verse praised Aharon HaKohen regarding lighting the menorah that he did not change or waver an iota from the prescribed manner light. "What was so special about that anyway?" Rav  Baruch challenged! "However the truth is that had the Berditchiver been asked to light the Menorah his rapture and ecstasy and excitement would cause him to spill all the oil and break the menorah! The verse is therefore praising Aharon for not doing that!"
