The film revolves around the love triangle between three college students, who belong to different backgrounds and have different personalities. The film was released on 26 September 2008 and received mixed reviews from critics and audiences. The film was also dubbed in Telugu as Chinnodu Peddodu.

Plot

The film begins with a flashback, where Rajathi (Sharmila), a famous singer, is shown to be in love with Anand (Nizhalgal Ravi), a car racer. However, their relationship is opposed by Rajathi's father (Rajan P. Dev), who wants her to marry a rich businessman. Rajathi elopes with Anand and gives birth to a son, Sakthi (Shanthnoo Bhagyaraj). Anand dies in a car accident, leaving Rajathi and Sakthi alone.

In the present day, Sakthi is a happy-go-lucky college student, who loves to sing and play guitar. He is also a flirt, who constantly chases girls. He meets Reema (Ishita Sharma), a rich and arrogant girl, who studies in the same college. Reema hates Sakthi for his carefree attitude and tries to avoid him. However, Sakthi falls in love with her and tries to woo her.

Meanwhile, Sakthi also meets Roopa (Vedhika), a simple and innocent girl, who works as a flower seller. Roopa is an orphan, who lives with her uncle (Ravikumar) and aunt (Sujatha). Roopa has a talent for singing and dreams of becoming a singer like Rajathi. Sakthi helps Roopa to participate in a singing competition, where she impresses Rajathi, who is one of the judges. Rajathi decides to mentor Roopa and make her a star.

Sakthi realizes that he has feelings for both Reema and Roopa, and gets confused about whom to choose. He also learns that Rajathi is his mother, who had abandoned him when he was a baby. He confronts Rajathi, who reveals that she had left him with Anand's parents, who later died in an accident. She also tells him that she had searched for him for many years, but could not find him. She apologizes to Sakthi and asks him to forgive her.

Sakthi forgives Rajathi and reconciles with her. He also decides to propose to Reema, who has gradually fallen in love with him. However, he faces a dilemma when he finds out that Roopa is also in love with him. He does not want to hurt Roopa, who has been loyal and supportive of him. He also does not want to lose Reema, who has changed for the better because of him.
