Dear Behavioural Environmental Economics Network,   

We are pleased to announce that the 2023 call for applications for the Ph.D. Programme in Economics 

offered by Cardiff University | Cardiff Business School is now open (deadline:  30th March 2023)

We welcome applications from students interested in all fields of economics. 

In particular, we have a large and growing interdisciplinary research group focusing on behavioral/experimental studies (https://www.cardiff.ac.uk/research/explore/research-units/carbs-behavioural-research-group) 

and state-of-the-art lab facilities housed at SPARK (https://www.cardiff.ac.uk/social-science-research-park).

*fully funded* Ph.D. programme in ECONOMICS 

The Ph.D. in Economics is a 4-year full-time research programme hosted by the Economics section,  which involves two years of advanced coursework, and two years of research. 

The first year consists of an MSc Economics covering core subjects.  In the second year, students complete the MRes Advanced Economics, while beginning to design their PhD research project. 

Years three and four comprise the PhD thesis phase.  It is also possible for suitably qualified students to join the PhD in Economics programme at the MRes stage, though they will be required to follow a slightly different programme to those students progressing directly from the MSc Economics (PhD Route). 

Please specify in your application that you are applying for a Business School Scholarship. 

This funding opportunity is open to UK, EU and International students and there are a range of scholarship opportunities available including, full fees and stipend (currently £17,668pa) and fees only. 

Scholarships are offered on a competition basis. Incomplete applications or applications received after the deadline of 30th March 2023 will not be accepted.
