We have an opening for a junior researcher or PhD position (3 year contract, 65% TV-L 13 salary) in our group Environmental and Resource Economics led by Prof. Meike Wollni at the University of Göttingen.
The position is part of the project Designing effective policy instruments for sustainable land transformation, which, together with five other projects, investigates the conversion of tropical rainforest to rubber and oil palm plantations in Sumatra, Indonesia.
The researcher will use economic experiments to investigate the role of monetary
incentives and experiential learning in virtual environments in
promoting a sustainable land use transformation among smallholder
farmers
in Indonesia.
Applicants should have a Master's degree in agricultural economics, development economics or a related discipline; previous experience with behavioral economics and/or experimental economics would be a plus!
The position is expected to start on the 1st of April 2024 (or earlier if possible) and the deadline to apply is the 15th of January 2024.
I would be very grateful if you could forward this call to any
interested person among your students, group or network.
More details can be found in the attached call.
Best regards and happy holidays,
