We have extended our deadline for our workshop to Sunday March 1—more info below.
We will be holding our third workshop on Integrating Theory and Data in Plant-Pollinator Interactions, September 4th - 7th, 2026. The workshop will be held at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory (RMBL), outside of beautiful Crested Butte, Colorado, USA. The instructional team includes Fernanda Valdovinos (UC Davis), Mark Novak (Oregon State), Ian Breckheimer (RMBL), and Berry Brosi (University of Washington).
Workshop Theme:
Theory, data, and the statistical approaches for integrating them have become increasingly quantitative and sophisticated over time. With a focus on the structure and dynamics of plant-pollinator interactions, the goals for this workshop are to introduce participants to the theory underlying metrics of network structure, the statistical methods for quantifying interaction processes from data, and the mathematical tools that enable inferences regarding community dynamics.
Intended Audience:
Our target audience consists of graduate students, post-docs, and early career faculty with primarily empirical backgrounds who are interested in better connecting their fieldwork to theory on the structure and dynamics of plant-pollinator networks.

Cost:
The workshop cost is US $890 and includes lodging for 5 nights, all meals during the four days of the workshop, as well as ground transport from the Denver International Airport to and from RMBL. Additional travel costs (i.e. your flights to the Denver International Airport) will vary.
Funding / Financial Aid:
We have funding from the US National Science Foundation to provide tuition and travel support for a limited number of participants (unfortunately this funding can only go to US citizens or permanent residents). To allow us to maximize participation, we ask that you make an effort to self-fund your participation if possible, be it from your PI’s grants, your home institution’s resources, or other funding sources (e.g., in the US, the American Society of Naturalists regional conference and workshop travel grants, Sigma Xi, etc.). We may prioritize a limited number of applicants who can cover all of their own expenses for the workshop. Still, we do have funding for some applicants, so do not let your ability to pay deter you from applying! While not guaranteed, we are exploring avenues to provide limited support for some international applicants.
