Dear bee monitoring community,
My name is Skye Bruce, and I’m excited to introduce myself as the new Pollinator and Invertebrate Coordinator for the Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies (AFWA).
In this role, I work closely with state, federal, and tribal agency partners, as well as many of you, to coordinate national pollinator and invertebrate conservation efforts, share updates on policy and funding, and highlight success stories and emerging science. One of the ways I do this is through a monthly Pollinator & Invertebrate Conservation Working Group newsletter, which includes timely news on agency efforts, federal appropriations, grant opportunities, research, and upcoming events.
This month's newsletter features a short profile on the USGS Bee Lab (thanks Sam!)

I look forward to collaborating and staying in touch with this incredible community of practitioners, researchers, and advocates working on behalf of pollinators and other invertebrates. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or ideas for collaboration.
Best regards,
Skye
