Hi folks,

There is still room to join us for Natural History of Native Bees, a one-week seminar in bee identification at Eagle Hill Institute in Maine this June 21-27, 2026.

Our course emphasizes field identification of bees (with a focus on bumble bees to species, and solitary bees to genus) and builds practical skills in photography, netting, pinning and microscopy of voucher specimens, dichotomous key use, mark-recapture, and journaling.

This seminar will be of interest to anyone looking to cultivate their curiosity about bees, including naturalists, gardeners, land managers, students, and researchers. We especially encourage students to attend this course, and there are tuition and lodging discounts available for student attendees. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Registration is now open at this link. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the course is filled.

Thanks!
