Not sure how many of you are aware that the federal government is abandoning the Biodiversity Heritage Library:
I think we all are clear how important this resource is and that the loss of support is in keeping with patterns we are seeing throughout the federal government.
As you can see on their website there is a transitional plan, but it is not clear if an actual new site will be available after the end of the year.
Does anyone have any details?
Additionally, while this is the current plan, I would think that advocating for it to remain where it is and supported is something that can still happen, if there were enough people who requested such things.

The Woman In The Library Tells Me A Detail About Boxelder Bugs That Interests Me In More Ways Than One
My boxelder bugs
wait for me
in the basement shower
every morning.
They get wet and
stick to you just
like that - all over.
I kind of like
it - actually.
